It's TribalTigras sniffed the air.  The west wind was blowing the smoke from the village high up into the mountains where he was perched lazily on a tree branch. It had been burning since sunrise, blocking out all other scents but the pungent, acidy stench of burnt wood and flesh. He couldn’t help but stare. His people never had much contact with the villagers except for the occasional trade. Still Tigras felt a strange sort of kinship with the people. They had lived in the mountains shadow for as long as he could remember, and that was an oddly long time, at least by mortal standards.

The RitualThe Ritual   
If only the wind would stop blowing, thought Eboue. It was always the same, year after year; the ritual could not be completed because of the wind. He drew another symbol in the sand with his staff merely to see more sand take is place, wiping the rune from the earth as if it had never been.  
   It really was no use but Eboue was sworn to fulfill his duties to the village. As the medicine man he was responsible for all the festivals and rituals as well as the healing of the sick and of the injured, but he was weary. There were too many ill, too many wounded, simply too many of his people were dying. Oh The Ritual

Plastic CivilizationPlastic Civilization  
 
Candied outer shell,  varnished, vibrant colors speaking  
fluent happy  
in a time  
of bitter-sweet philosophy.  
 
Carnival sweet, sticky  
scents of delusion  
coating the rotting core with  
gooey caramel.   
Just add sprinkled bits

Wounded War CriesWounded Battle Cries   
Drop anticipation  
and bring recreation around.  Feelings shred not a sound  
on the cold, broken ground tonight.  Wind sweeps the plains of plight,  no consequence to fight or spoil  the atmosphere in toil  to make confidence coil snakelike.  Defeated by the strike  the company waits like blind bats  force shattered by combat.  Days mark the night such that the light  reflects the moon as bright  to show fatal delight in beams  of silky silver seams.  Fear pasted upon dreams, staring

The Mirrored LoverVexed. by both my present and my past.  Tired of trying to be notorious,  my body suddenly let go

hmm went an checked them out too, they have a very "taking back sunday" kind of feel to them. maybe it's just that the lead singers sound way alike, but thats the kind of feeling i get from them. not that it's bad lol, i like taking back sunday, but ya...

Speaking of 'Taking Back Sunday', have you heard of Straylight Run? Some of the band memebers used to be in 'Taking Back Sunday' but their sound is, from what I've heard so far, a little less 'hard'. I really like them. [link] I'm not sure you can listen to the music from their website though, last I knew the links were broken. You can find them on Yahoo Launchcast and one song for download here
